Surgical assessment is not a separate chapter: it enters the practice’s pathways when it is needed, and steps back when it is not.
Surgery at DOTTOR@HOUSE moves within the pathways already running at the practice. The patient is assessed by the specialist of the relevant area and, where the situation calls for it, surgical assessment joins the pathway without interrupting it.
The diabetic foot prevention and care pathway reports to both surgery and the diabetologist. It is the first pathway built on this collaboration: risk assessment and surveillance remain diabetological, while treatment of the lesion and of its causes enters the surgical area when needed.
