Diagnosis comes before treatment.
A cosa servono
Those affected, by definition, cannot observe it. This is why diagnosis almost always relies on an instrumental test that records what happens during the night.
These tests distinguish between very different conditions — simple snoring and obstructive apnoea, insomnia and rhythm disorders, involuntary movements and neurological episodes — and allow the right treatment to be chosen.
Which test you need
Sleep tests are not something you choose for yourself: each records different parameters and answers different clinical questions. It is the specialist visit that establishes which one is right in your case.
Some tests are carried out at the clinic, others at home, in your own bed and with your usual sleep. The doctor decides this too.
Ho fatto l’esame: e adesso?
After the test you need to discuss it with a doctor specialising in sleep medicine, who interprets the results in the light of the clinical picture and decides whether and which treatment to begin.
Contact our front desk to arrange, within a short time, a reporting consultation, including for tests carried out elsewhere.
